App Piacenza is the application of the city of Piacenza: an innovative travel guide and a better way to experience the city through smartphone or tablet. It's designed both for tourists who wish to discover the artistic heritage of the city and for citizens who want to keep up to date with what's happening around them.

Users are able to discover all the interesting locations on an interactive map, decide which one to visit and then the app will guide them to it; thanks to iBeacon technology App Piacenza doesn't stop at outdoor location but is able to locate and lead visitors even inside buildings, like museums or art galleries; for each point of interest there are exhaustive descriptions and rich multimedia contents, and users may share the ones they liked on all the major social networks, or save them in their personal "favourites" section.

Research and filtering features make exploring the city easier, while a series of thematic itineraries will reveal the most peculiar aspects of Piacenza history and culture.

A specific section of App Piacenza is dedicated to events: users are able to read the latest news and be informed about all upcoming events; they can also decide to receive push notifications about topics they like, so they won't miss anything that's going on in the city.

Localization System uses Bluetooth technology and is required in order to use iBeacons features.
